Mike Holmberg

VP Engineering

As VP of Engineering, Mike leads the engineering and development team at Syght. 

Mike brings more than 30 years of industry experience delivering scalable software and hardware solutions, and leading teams in data storage, data products, software platforms, and digital ecosystems.  

Prior to joining Syght he spent 17 years at HP leading key engineering teams in charge of core business growth through expanded data platform capabilities, analytics, and new utilization. Mike also created and led a large community of 3,000 employees focused on data engineering and data science while at HP. He holds 17 patents, with several more pending, spanning software, hardware, machine learning, data engineering, and material science. He began his career as a head and media engineer in the data storage industry. 

He received his BS degree in Physics from Colorado State University, with graduate work in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Mike also completed additional graduate education in the Building Innovative Leaders program at Stanford University. Mike resides in CO with his wife and family; he enjoys cycling and brewing beer in his spare time.
